Beatrice Washburn is a freshman at the University of Arizona, double-majoring in History and Russian and Slavic Studies. She is fascinated by the Eastern Bloc and the Soviet Union, particularly by the administration of Nikita S. Khrushchev. She lives in Tucson, Arizona with her fiancée, Ellery, and is an active member of Grace St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
