This is a digital timeline of the protests and political change in Kyrgyzstan. The timeline covers major events from independence in 1995 to around 2018 with a focus on the major political changes in 2005 and 2010. There is also a focus on nationalism and decolonialism as people reckon with the effects of the Soviet period and ongoing political problems with corruption.
