This project explores Mexican-Soviet relations during the early 20th century and how the Soviet side influenced left-wing politics and movements within the Mexican Republic, such as the foundation and development of the Mexican Communist Party (PCM) that was founded shortly after the Bolshevik Revolution. This project also highlights the significant impact the Soviet Union had on Mexican culture and fine arts, especially on the Mexican muralism movement.
